Carver Teams Earn Honorable Mention in Global R obotics C oding C ompetition Despite school disruptions due to COVID-19, a team of two fifth graders and a team of one second grader from Carver were both awarded Honorable Mention winners in the 2020 Wonder League Robotics International Robotics Competition . Lily Wagener and Addilyn Dolan, from Team Creative Coders, and B en Valentine, from Team One and Only Ben, were highlighted as two teams that stood out among the 8,400 kids competing from 90 countries worldwide . These two teams finished among the top ten in their age group. Congratulations to Lily and Addilyn on winning the Aspiring Authors award and to Ben for earning the Artistic Achievement honor. Visit the Wonder League website to read more about these prestigious awards. 1st ANNUAL CARVER COUGAR CRAWL A HUGE SUCCESS! First grade students from 1C enjoyed spraying silly string all over Mr. Peterson, after hearing that their class brought in the most money for the PTG sponsored Carver Cougar Crawl fundraiser. Students from every class were rewarded for their fund-raising efforts by participating in special activities organized by the PTG. The money raised will be used for play ground upgrades, field trips, classroom projects and technology. Thank you to everyone that volunteered to help, giving either the gift or time or money.
